Who We Are
Camp Campy is overseen each day by Camp Director Dan Boyer, an award-winning children's entertainer with over fifteen years of experience in the social sector. Previously, Dan managed summer day camps for the Cities of Kitchener and Waterloo, created and ran day programming for youth with intellectual and physical disabilities, and was a counsellor at several summer camps including Easter Seals Camps.
Camp Campy activities are carefully planned in consultation with our team of education consultants who have a combined total of over 100 years of experience in elementary education, social work, and learning design.

All our staff:
Are vaccinated against COVID-19 and complete a daily health screening
Complete a criminal and vulnerable persons background check before starting work at camp
Have completed First Aid and CPR training
Receive training on fire safety and other emergencies
Receive training on child abuse prevention
Are mandated reporters, meaning we are required to report any critical incident/safety concerns to local authorities immediately
Are required to comply with all federal, provincial and municipal safety laws and regulations
We emphasize universal values like mutual understanding, kindness, respect, fairness, co-operation, consent, self-confidence, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. Camp Campy is an LGBTQ-friendly camp and a safe space for all.
