FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Toronto, ON — Toronto’s Wychwood Theatre will host a limited engagement of the award-winning family comedy hit, “The Camp Campy Campfire Show” the weekend of September 13 & 14, 2025.
Cheekily billed as “an interactive kids’ show that’s tolerable for adults,” The Camp Campy Campfire Show is a hilarious and heartwarming theatrical experience designed for the whole family and ideal for children 3-9.
“The show is about confidence, resilience, being present, and figuring out how to solve problems,” says show creator Daniel Boyer. Kids in the audience play the role of “campers” who must help the Camp Campy counsellors gather what they need to build a campfire.
“What’s unique is how kids can participate in the show,” says director Jonathan Hoss. “Families come onstage and handle the props, helping the actors get through some silly situations!”
From the moment they arrive at the theatre, kids are immersed in the Camp Campy universe, receiving badges and a map to help them guide the performers.
“Summer’s not quite over,” says creator Daniel Boyer. “Families still have time to join the fun around the campfire — including songs, stories, and S’mores — with this outstanding cast of performers!”
The highly interactive family show will run on September 13 & 14, 2025, with performances at 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM, offering a magical campfire adventure for young audiences at a beautifully inviting venue.
Winner of the Patrons’ Pick award at the Toronto Fringe Festival, the show is acclaimed by critics.
It’s “bursting with energy” and “a thoughtful delight of a show for all ages” according to My Entertainment World, whose critic awarded the show a “Grade A” rating and called it “a barrel of fun.”
The show features “the most high-energy performances I have ever seen” according to theatre blog A View From The Box, who called the show “impressive”, “a great time for all ages,” and “the definition of family fun.”
This limited engagement runs only the weekend of September 13-14 at Wychwood Theatre.
